Atwater mother arrested in connection to the death of 4-month-old baby

ATWATER, Calif. (KFSN) -- A mother is now facing murder charges after her four-month-old baby was found dead in Atwater.

Early Monday, detectives arrested Jasmine Polk in connection to the passing of Devonte Mcintyre.

On January 23, police found the infant lifeless in an apartment on Cedar Avenue near Castle Street.

The boy's father Maleek Mcintyre was arrested last week and is also facing a murder charge.

Polk is being held at the Merced County Jail.
