FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- "The Big Red Church" in central Fresno expresses concern following what it believes was an act of vandalism.

This is the second time the church says someone has intentionally damaged and knocked down its outdoor art display.

Colorful and welcoming panels in front of the church spell out the phrase, "God's doors are open to all" on Van Ness Avenue.

Pastor Simon Biasell says the display is a positive message that means a lot to the church.

"Big Red Church has been in this neighborhood for 75 years, and for the last 30 years, we've been an open and affirming church. We believe God's love is for everybody and what we believe," said Biasell.

The outdoor display has been up since Pride month in June, and the church says they have been damaged twice this summer.

The Fresno Police Department responded but said there was not enough evidence to determine if a crime was committed.
