12-year-old girl hit and killed by suspected DUI driver in Tulare County, CHP says

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 12-year-old girl is dead after authorities say she was hit by a suspected DUI driver in Tulare County.

It happened before 6 pm on August 31 on Avenue 95 near Road 238 in Terra Bella.

The California Highway Patrol says the girl was hit by a 22-year-old driver while trying to cross Avenue 95.

She was rushed to Sierra View Medical Center, where she died.
