Brush fire spreads to 120 acres off Highway 190 east of Porterville, officials say

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are working to contain a 120-acre brush fire near Highway 190 east of Porterville, officials confirm.

The fire, known as the Rocky Incident, started around 3:47 p.m. on Sunday and is 70 percent contained.

Caltrans says Highway 190 is closed between Blue Heron Parkway and Road 284. Travelers are advised to find another route.

One structure has burned down. No injuries have been reported.

Around 20 fire engines from Tulare County Fire, CAL FIRE and Porterville City Fire are currently at the scene trying to contain the flames and put out hotspots.
