Crews battling fast-growing 'Van Fire' in Mariposa County, CAL FIRE says

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are battling a rapidly growing wildfire in Mariposa County.

CAL FIRE's website says the Van Fire broke out just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Catheys Valley, northeast of White Rock Road.

The fire has already burned 800 acres and could potentially burn over 2,000 acres.

No evacuation warnings or orders have been issued at this time.
