Dorm move-in day at Fresno State, including new housing project

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's dorm move-in day for students at Fresno State.

It's also a monumental day for the university as it opens its latest student housing project.

It's the first major housing initiative at the university since 1968.

The building, located at Shaw and Cedar, is four stories high and includes 228 apartment-style units with one- to four-bedroom units, including a limited number of apartments for students with children.

With the new building, Student Housing now has nearly 1,600 students across 10 buildings.
