Disney adds fun to Let's Play Sport Clinic in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The world's most famous mouse came to Fresno on Saturday.

Mickey Mouse made an appearance at this special sports clinic for young children.

The partnership between ESPN Take Back Sports and “Disney Junior Let’s Play” gave kids an opportunity to learn the basics of soccer, t-ball and flag football at Valley Children’s Stadium.

ABC30 VoluntEARS, along with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California, Fresno State and High Performance Academy, teamed up to make this a memorable morning.

“We have some awesome coaches out here, tons of fun activities, and of course we had to bring a little Disney magic as well, and we’re just really hoping that all of this helps to instill a love of sports at a young age," ABC30 vice president and news director.

“This is just amazing…the parents…the kids, that’s the priceless part, they’re so happy. It’s been a magical experience,” Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central CA CEO Diane Phakonekham said.

Action News anchor Cory James emceed the festivities.

More than 70 kids participated and also went home with some Mickey Clubhouse goodies.
