FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A newly released promotional video for this year's State of Fresno County Address features Fresno County Board of Supervisors Chairman Garry Bredefeld in a series of action-themed scenes, including riding in a military tank and handling firearms.
The video shows Bredefeld emerging from a military tank while holding a rifle. He is also seen boarding a helicopter, riding an all-terrain vehicle and traveling in a Fresno County Sheriff's boat.
Bredefeld told Action News the $7,000 video was paid for entirely by the Fresno Chamber of Commerce and that no overtime was used by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
He described the video as a tribute to law enforcement and defended the decision to include scenes showing him with firearms.
When asked whether it was "a good look for the chairman of the board," Bredefeld responded: "Absolutely, I love guns, and I also believe people should get CCWs and exercise their Second Amendment right."
Bredefeld said a longer version of the video will be shown during the State of the County event.
The luncheon is scheduled for September 24.
