Fresno native Max Arfsten makes 2026 USMNT World Cup roster

Fresno's Max Arfsten talks call up to U.S. Men's National Soccer team

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno native and San Joaquin Memorial alum Max Arfsten has officially made the 2026 World Cup U.S. men's national team roster.

The full 26-man roster was officially revealed on Tuesday during an event in New York. This will be Arfsten's first World Cup.

Arfsten, 25, plays for the MLS club Columbus Crew and has made 18 caps, including five starts, scoring one goal for the U.S. national team.

Arfsten has recently earned call-ups for international friendlies as preparation for the World Cup.

The USMNT will play in two send-off friendlies against Senegal and Germany before kicking off its World Cup group play against Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
