Golf cart driver injured after being ejected in crash on Highway 168, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A crash between a golf cart and a Mercedes in Fresno County ejected the cart driver, sending the person to the hospital.

It happened on Highway 168 between Shepherd and Academy.

The California Highway Patrol says the golf cart was on the highway without any lights on.

The driver of the Mercedes crashed into the cart due to the lack of visibility.

The golf cart driver was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

Officers believe the golf cart driver also had pre-existing medical conditions.

The crash is not believed to be DUI-related.
