Kingsburg Christmas tree damaged in hit-and-run

KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Kingsburg Police Department is searching for the driver who crashed into the downtown Christmas tree before taking off.

The base of the tree was found with a large dent on Saturday morning.

Public works crews and Kingsburg Fire removed the base and reassembled the tree the same day.

More work will be done this week and a star will be added.

Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact Kingsburg Police.
