MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man accused of secretly filming his guests without their knowledge at a rental property in Oakhurst has been released on bail, the Madera County Sheriff's Office confirms.
According to investigators, 44-year-old Christian Parmalee Edwards filmed not only from outside through the blinds but also from the inside of the house where he was living on the third story.
Action News obtained the criminal complaint filed against Edwards. He faces one felony count for his possession of child sex abuse material.

During Edwards' first court hearing, a judge lowered his bail from $225,000 to $75,000 based on his charges.
The Madera County Sheriff's Office says none of the victims have been identified or have come forward about the case.
Edwards had no prior criminal record.
Deputies say Edwards first listed the property online as a short-term commercial rental in July of 2025, and that the recovered videos date back to that time.

After several tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged the home, Madera County sheriff's deputies served a search warrant and uncovered that Edwards had filmed anywhere between 10 to 15 women and at least one child around six years old without their clothes on.
Investigators seized 30 different devices with over 4,000 files of child sex abuse material.
Authorities are still investigating and are in communication with online rental companies VRBO and Airbnb to learn the names of those who may have been possible victims.
