Man who allegedly robbed postal worker at gunpoint in central Fresno arrested, jail records show

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County jail records show 38-year-old Frankie Luna Ochoa, the man who allegedly robbed a postal worker at gunpoint in Fresno, has been arrested.

Valley Crime Stoppers says just two days after a $150,000 reward was announced, local law enforcement reached out to say Ochoa was in custody.

The non-profit added that authorities said a Valley Crime Stoppers tip led to his capture.

The robbery happened in broad daylight near Hammond and Fruit avenues on January 15.

Doorbell video captured the suspect, now known as Ochoa, walking up the sidewalk with a hand in his pocket.

Police say he then pulled out a gun in a matter of seconds and robbed the mail carrier.

The mail carrier was not injured.

Ochoa faces federal charges of committing an armed robbery against a mail carrier.
