Man dies in accident at Fresno County trucking facility, deputies say

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after being crushed in an accident at a trucking repair yard in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon, deputies say.

The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Belmont and Lafayette avenues.

Authorities said the man, who was in his 20s, was working as a mechanic at the facility when the accident occurred.

Investigators said he was hooking up a trailer to a semi-truck when he became pinned in between and was crushed.

Emergency crews responded to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.

Cal-OSHA is investigating the incident.
