Man dies after hitting 2 vehicles before flipping car over Highway 99 embankment, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is dead after police say he hit multiple vehicles before flipping over an embankment on Highway 99.

It started at Ventura and B street just before 11:30 am, when officers say the man crashed with the first car.

He then continued to drive before hitting another vehicle on C Street.

Authorities say the man's car then went off the embankment going down onto Highway 99 and flipped over, ultimately landing upside-down on the freeway.

The man was declared dead at the scene. He has not been identified.

Drivers should avoid the area as the cleanup continues.

No other injuries were reported.
