Multi-car crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash in Fresno County early Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 1:30 am on Highway 41 and Elkhorn Avenue, just a few miles north of Riverdale.

Officers say at least three vehicles were involved in the incident.

The roads were shut down for some time but have since reopened.

Action News has confirmed that someone was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but the extent of injuries is unknown.

The details of what caused the crash are still under investigation.
