FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local nonprofit is inviting the community to support its mission at its largest fundraiser of the year next month in downtown Fresno.

Paw Squad 559 will host its annual Wags and Wagers casino night on June 6, raising funds to support senior dogs, dogs with medical needs, and those who struggle to find placement in local shelters. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit's foster-based programs.

The event will feature casino-style games, a Western-themed barbecue and a silent auction. Organizers describe it as the group's biggest fundraiser of the year.

Paw Squad 559 operates a "forever foster" program that places senior and medical dogs into foster homes, where they can live out their remaining years. The nonprofit covers all expenses related to the dogs' care.

Tickets for Wags and Wagers are $65, click here to reserve a spot.
