Plane crashes and catches fire in Woodlake, deputies say

WOODLAKE, Calif. -- Fire and law enforcement officials are responding to a reported plane crash in Woodlake on Saturday morning.

The Tulare County Fire Department confirmed a plane is down on Road 204 and Avenue 336.

Fire crews are waiting for California Edison to arrive at the crash site, as multiple power lines are down, creating a hazard.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol are at the scene and have blocked off some roadways.

It's unclear what led to the crash or who is on board the plane.
