RAW VIDEO: Scooter thief captured after chase through Madera, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera Police say Florentino Alvarez lead officers on a chase through Madera on a scooter with a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour.

Authorities described the chase as "low speed" and thanked the public for reacting quickly and clearing the road for emergency lights and sirens. They said the pursuit ended safely and resulted in the arrest of Alvarez.
