GOSHEN, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is dead, and two others are injured after an early morning shooting rocked the rural community of Goshen.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office responded to Goshen Avenue and Road 76 around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, after reports of two shooting victims.
One call, believed to be from one of the victims, fearing that his friend had been fatally shot.
When deputies arrived, they found one of the men dead and another with a gunshot wound to his cheek.
But their work quickly extended beyond the scene.
Soon after they arrived, deputies received reports of a third victim, who had driven himself to the hospital.
The investigation would continue through the late afternoon, as detectives were seen collecting evidence from a nearby home.
And this triple shooting, coming just days after the agency lost deputy Randy Hoppert in an hours-long standoff.
On Friday, Sheriff Mike Boudreaux told Action News that 34 deputies were placed on administrative leave as a result.
