South Valley man arrested in child sex abuse case after 14-year-old gives birth

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A South Valley man is in custody, facing disturbing child sex abuse allegations.

Detectives were assigned a case after a 14-year-old had recently given birth.

Investigators say they identified 47-year-old Delfino Miguel Montes as the suspect and father of the child.

They arrested him in Lindsay over the weekend.

Montes was booked into the South County Detention Facility and faces several charges, including lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.
