Tiffany Trump, the 22-year-old daughter of Donald Trump and Marla Maples, said that her father's "desire for excellence is contagious" while addressing the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tiffany, dressed in blue, spoke self-deprecatingly of her newness to the national stage, and praised her father's capacity to inspire people and lead.

"He's always helped me be the best version of myself," she said of her father.

She added that the qualities that made him a great father would also make him a great president.

"He brings out the challenge and drive in people," she said, calling him a "natural born encourager."

Tiffany, the only child from the celebrity businessman's six-year marriage to Maples, has achieved newfound celebrity status in the wake of her father's run for the presidency.

She grew up in California with her mother and the two are reportedly very close. She graduated in May from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied at the School of Arts and Sciences and is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was a part of the same class as Joe Biden's granddaughter, Naomi Biden.

In 2011, when she was 17, Tiffany released an pop single called "Like a Bird."

"I never pictured myself saying this to a packed arena," she added of the experience of endorsing her father for president.
