The 28th Annual Fresno Reel Pride LGBTQ Film Festival will showcase more than 50 films in September. Fresno Reel Pride is one of the largest LGBTQ+ film festivals in the United States.

One of Central California's largest cultural events includes five days of LGBTQ+ cinema with different genres aimed at entertaining and informing audiences.

The event's tagline is Films For Everyone. Reel Pride communications director, Augie Blancas and programming director Margo Serrano sat down with Latino Life host Graciela Moreno to discuss some of the films coming to the Tower Theatre and Vista Theater in Central Fresno.

"Hello Again" is one of the featured films you can watch on opening night starring Fresno native Audra McDonald, TR Knight from "Grey's Anatomy" and "Raising Hope" star Martha Plimpton.

"Chavela" takes viewers on a journey through the life of artist Chavela Vargas. The documentary features never before-seen interview footage of the Mexican singer shot 20 years before her death in 2012.

"Chavela" will be shown Saturday, September 23rd at 4:30 p.m. The festival runs September 20-24th. Get film and ticket information at www.reelpride.com
