INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- After a sack for a 1-yard loss, the Los Angeles Chargers faced a third-and-11 from their own 41-yard line with 29 seconds left in the first half against the New York Giants. Seems like a time to play conservatively, but not when Justin Herbert is your quarterback.

Herbert instead launched a deep pass toJalen Guyton for a 59-yard touchdown, giving the Chargers a 24-7 lead right before the half at SoFi Stadium. Guyton was wide open on the throw, which traveled 56.8 air yards and had a total air distance of 63.8 yards, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

The throw capped a banner first half for Herbert, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdown passes on 16-of-22 passing. Guyton had three receptions for 87 yards in the half, while Austin Ekeler ran for 53 yards and a touchdown for the Chargers, who gained 289 yards in the first two quarters.
