Fire breaks out at Former Fresno City College Center in southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are at the scene of a vacant building that went up in flames in Southwest Fresno.

Crews responded to the fire at Annadale and Angus Avenues around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the building was the former Fresno City College Career and Technology Center.

Thick black smoke was seen rising into the sky as firefighters worked to contain the flames.

It's not yet known how the fire sparked.
