CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- An empty lot in Old Town Clovis will be transformed after gaining approval from the city council.

The space, which was once the DMV building on the east side of Pollasky at Bullard Avenue, will be turned into what's being called Centennial Plaza.

A few weeks ago, Action News got a look at the plans, which are meant to pay tribute to the city's history in its old city center.

The $2 million plan will bring in a new community plaza, sidewalk and street improvements, ready-to-build structure pads and extra parking spaces.
