2018 recipient of Leon S. Peters Award announced

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2018 recipient of the Leon S.Peters award, Jim Pardini. He is a businessman who's been in the catering scene in Fresno for decades.

The surprise announcement was made at the Pardini's Banquet Hall -- where friends, family and past winners gathered to congratulate Pardini.

The Leon S. Peters award was established about 30 years ago and recognizes business success and leadership as well as public service and contributions in the Fresno area.

Jim Pardini said, "I can't tell you how much this means to me. Over the years I've known all of the people who have received this award. I've always had tremendous respect for them."

Pardini is also known for supporting causes that include Fresno State, the Fresno Fair, Boy Scouts and March of Dimes.

The award will be presented at the Valley Business Awards Luncheon on February 13th.
