Scottish Gathering and Games returning to the Central Valley
The sights of sounds of Scotland are taking over the Central Valley. The 40th annual Scottish Gathering and Games are Saturday at Kearney Park.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The sights of sounds of Scotland are taking over the Central Valley. The 40th annual Scottish Gathering and Games are Saturday at Kearney Park.

Dozens of athletes, dressed in Scottish attire, will be taking part in several traditional competitions. The annual event shows off the rich culture and athleticism of Scotland.

In addition to vendors, food, and live music attendees can take a trip down Clan Row to learn about their Scottish heritage.

Children will also be able to participate in the athletic events which include the caber and distance throw.
