FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some future farmers in the foothills are hoping a big box store will help them grow their program.

The Future Farmers of America chapter at Minarets High School held a "Grants for Growing" fundraiser at the Tractor Supply Store in Northwest Fresno. Their goal is to add a studio garden on campus that would serve as hen hut chicken coop where they'd raise chickens.

The students are also competing for a Tractor Supply scholarship of up to $5,000.
