Porterville Unified opens Future Ready Lab at old schoolhouse site

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new, state of the art classroom experience at an old schoolhouse outside of Porterville is now open to students.

Porterville Unified School District's Future Ready Lab at the Citrus South Tule Elementary School was inspired by Qualcomm's Thinkabit Lab.

Porterville middle school students will learn science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics at the site, preparing them for high school, college, and their future careers.

Porterville Unified took over the site near Lake Success in 2015. The original classroom was built in 1874.
