Threatening graffiti found in bathroom on Central High West Campus

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Central Unified School District is on high alert after threatening graffiti was found in a girl's restroom on Tuesday.

The markings were found on the Central High School West campus.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says it's aware of the incident and is investigating.

The school district says there will be classes on Wednesday, but there will be additional law enforcement on hand to ensure students and staff are safe.

The Central Unified School District sent the following message to parents on Wednesday morning:

"Yesterday afternoon, Central West administration was notified about a graffiti threat in the girls' restroom. Administration and law enforcement have been investigating and as of late last night, it was decided to place the school on high alert. Both staff and additional law enforcement will be very visible to make sure students and staff are safe on campus. We will notify you as we receive more information."
