Nights in the Plaza kicks off in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Arte Americas kicked off its annual summer concert series Nights in the Plaza in Downtown Fresno on Friday evening. Latin rock band Heavy Weather rocked out, covering some Santana songs.

Every Friday will feature a different Latin-based band. While listening to music, plaza-goers can also eat from taco trucks and browse art.

Next week, Arte Americas galleries debuts its new summer exhibit featuring artists from Mexico City, Utah and the East Coast.

Nights in the Plaza runs through September. Tickets are $10 for non-members and $8 for members.
