FRESNO, California (KFSN) --Organizers are putting the finishing touches on one of the Valley's longest running holiday traditions that makes Fresno shine a little brighter.
Christmas lights are decorating a two mile stretch of Van Ness Boulevard's Christmas Tree Lane. Millions of lights are used to decorate 140 homes and trees along a stretch of Van Ness, between Shields and Shaw avenues.
This year marks Christmas Tree Lane's 94th year in operation, making it one of the longest running holiday events around the country. Homeowners have already spent weeks getting ready. More than 100-thousand people visit Christmas Tree Lane every year.
Saturday, December 3rd is opening night -- and one of two walk nights. That means no vehicles are allowed until Sunday.
Christmas Tree Lane runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
