KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- A national program to help prevent child abductions visited the Valley on Saturday. KlaasKids was at the Kingsburg Fire Department teaching families about child safety while also providing a fun afternoon.
The organization's Print-A-Thon offered free digitized fingerprinting, child photography and DNA collection kits. Families could also enjoy a bounce house, kettle corn and even get a tour of fire response vehicles.
KlaasKids was founded by child safety expert Mark Klaas in 1994 following the death of his daughter. The nonprofit has fingerprinted and photographed more than a million children since then at no cost to families.
