Man drives himself to gas station in Lemoore after being shot

LEMOORE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police in Lemoore are investigating a shooting where the victim ended up driving himself to a nearby gas station for help.

A 29-year-old man claims he was shot during a robbery at Janine near Blake in Lemoore around three Wednesday morning.

The man was hit once in the lower body and was able to drive off, getting himself to the FastTrip on Lemoore Avenue at Cinnamon. There police found him and he was rushed to a Fresno hospital.

The man is said to be alert and talked to police. His condition is not known at this time.

There is no word on a suspect.
