Two women injured in West-Central Fresno shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two women were shot Sunday night in west-central Fresno.

The shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. at Lodi and Weldon Avenues, near El Capitan Middle School. The victims were transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where authorities say they are in critical but stable condition.

Police are searching for the suspect and the area remains closed as investigators determine what led to the incident.
