FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) --Feminine hygiene products could soon cost less in California.
Two Southern California assmembly-women are proposing a bill to eliminate taxes on tampons and maxi-pads. State tax organizers said the legislation could cost the state $20-million in tax revenues.
This legislation comes on the heels of a strict "equal pay law" that went into effect this year.
Supporters argue feminine products are not luxury items, but medical necessities.
