Man in 1930 Ford Roadster killed in Visalia crash

Police say a 1930 Ford Roadster, driven by 64-year-old Rudy Moreno of Visalia, was traveling east at the intersection of Noble and Giddings Avenues when it collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee at 2:37 p.m.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man died Sunday afternoon in Visalia after a car crash.

Police say a 1930 Ford Roadster, driven by 64-year-old Rudy Moreno of Visalia, was traveling east at the intersection of Noble and Giddings Avenues when it collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee at 2:37 p.m.

Authorities say Moreno and his passenger were pinned in the classic car after the collision, and firefighters had to force entry into the Ford to remove them. Moreno later died at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

The two people in the Jeep were not injured.

The Visalia Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
