One critical in Northwest Fresno crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Police Department is investigating a crash that sent two people to the hospital, including one in critical condition.

The crash happened on Island Waterpark Drive near Shaw Avenue Saturday evening. Officers say a man was driving east when he drifted into the opposite lane and hit another car.

The driver who appears to be at fault suffered major injuries. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.

Investigators are still working to determine if the wet roads, alcohol, or other factors were involved.
