Man killed in deadly Visalia crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a deadly crash that killed a 55-year-old man from Visalia.

Investigators say Manuel Mendoza Junior lost control of his car around 6 p.m. on Thursday. He hit a power pole at Walnut and Ben Maddox Way -- and then his car caught fire. Mendoza died at the scene.

It's unclear what made him lose control or whether drugs and alcohol played a role.
