FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- FresYes Fest is just days away and organizers are excited to entertain visitors while serving up the best local food and beer in town.

It's Tioga Sequoia's fourth year hosting the event. Like they've done in years past Tioga Sequoia uses this event as a way to test out special-release brews. This weekend they're unveiling the first FresYes tribute beer. It's a new series meant to honor important people in Fresno history.

The inaugural tribute beer celebrates mayor Ashley Swearengin for her dedication to the revitalization of downtown Fresno.

"It's a nice light beer for the coming of spring, and I really think it's something we can blow up in a big way," said Kevin Cox, Brewmaster Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company.

Her tribute beer flavor will be called the Swearengin Strawberry Blonde Ale-- and depending on how well it does online-- this flavor could end up on Tioga Sequoia's permanent menu.

Some of the food trucks that'll be there on Saturday include La Elegante, Benaddiction, and Dusty Buns.

Admission to FresYes Fest is free and open to people of all ages-- but only those who are 21 and over get to drink.
