Clovis Police searching for man who assaulted an older woman

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Officers are trying to find the man who assaulted a woman in her early 60s Monday evening and sent her to the hospital.

The assault happened at a home near Alluvial and Peach Avenues. Police say the man has not been identified but is known to people who were in the home at the time of the attack.

They say the man left the woman with several wounds. Police say the assault is not domestic violence related.

The woman was taken to the hospital.

The woman's condition is unknown.
