1 person shot and killed, 1 assaulted in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is now facing murder charges after a deadly shooting in Central Fresno. Police arrested 35-year-old Edgar Ripley.

It happened around 10:00 Monday night near Harvard, west of Fresno Street. Investigators said it started when two brothers went to a home to settle a dispute with Ripley. A fight soon followed.

Ripley shot and killed one of the brothers.

The other brother is hospitalized but is expected to survive.
