2 people injured in Southeast Fresno apartment fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people are recovering with minor burns to their feet after their apartment caught fire Friday.

Firefighters said it happened at a top story apartment in Southeast Fresno near Cedar and California Avenues.

They say no one was inside when they arrived. The two people living in that apartment were able to escape but burned their feet on the way out.

The victims were treated on scene and did not have to go to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, though firefighters said it appears it might have started on the patio.
