Having A ball with fitness
Trying to add a extra element to your exercise routine? How about adding a stabilization ball to your workout.

FRESNO, Calif. -- Trying to add a extra element to your exercise routine? How about adding a stabilization ball to your workout.

The ball will make it more intense because you are sitting on an unstable surface. Trying to stay balanced while doing a bicep curl will help you engage your biceps, abdominals and legs.

The next exercise is a shoulder press. Bringing the weights above your head while sitting on the ball really kicks in the core. Make a slow fluid motion. Always listen to your body, take it at your level.

The next motion is an elbow pivot to work the shoulder. As you bring the weights away from your body you will feel your lower back and abdominals trying to keep you balanced.

I have saved the best for last. The triceps kick will really work the whole body. As you extend the muscle away from your body the ball shifts and your stomach, lower back, and thighs have to engage to keep you on that ball. It is a fun intense workout. Try it at your next workout.
