Man hospitalized after southeast Fresno house fire
Neighbors say during the fire a man escaped the home and collapsed in his yard. He was transported to a hospital when crews arrived.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was hospitalized Thursday night after a fire broke out at a southeast Fresno home, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a fire at 4676 E Pitt., near Florence and Chestnut Avenues, around 8:30 p.m. with reports of people inside.

Neighbors say during the fire a man escaped the home and collapsed in his yard. He was transported to a hospital when crews arrived.

The victim's condition is unknown.
