Subscription box made by Fresno company aims at helping traveling women dress well
Fresno-based company wants to help you lose the baggage and still travel in style.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Every day women across the country travel to their destinations with luggage, but a Fresno-based company wants to help you lose the baggage and still travel in style.

"We not only provide for reducing that stress but also provide the fashion and styles for women so they can enjoy new styles every day for their trip," said Javier Mata, Dressidy Co-Founder.

Javier Mata and his wife Ellis Acevedo are the people behind Dressidy, a local startup that wants to create an online-based company that does your packing for you.

"Just getting there, and to the hotel, and having a box with all the clothes. I can wear something different, not my same old clothes," said Acevedo.

Travelers would select fashionable items to wear for four, seven, or 10 days and could also talk to a stylist. Your box would arrive at your destination.

Right now, Mata, a Fresno Pacific MBA graduate, is trying to raise $50,000 through crowd funding website Indie GoGo to get started.

"The capital that we obtain is going to serve us to get inventory, also develop our website, because we need a robust version of our website. We have just a landing page for now and it's going to get us going," said Mata.

Across the United States, the clothing subscription and rental industry are booming. Companies like Le Tote offer a box of clothing straight to your house, so you always have something new to wear.

And on the men's side businesses, like Trunk Club, offer a way for men to get clothing that is tailored to them.

While Dressidy has yet to hit the market, they're hoping others will help them make their dream an online reality.

"We're hoping for Dressidy to launch fully in 2017," said Mata.
