Residents in Merced will get a chance to ride the bus for free this month
People in Merced will get a chance to help spare-the-air this month by using free bus rides offered by the county.

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- People in Merced will get a chance to help spare-the-air this month by using free bus rides offered by the county.

Thursday through Sunday people will be able to use public busses for free county-wide. People can also take advantage of three shuttles that will to take you straight to the fair. As a bonus, If you use those shuttles instead of your car your get into the fair for just $5.

"What we're doing is we're offering free transportation county wide, and we're also offering a shuttle so people can go to the fair and skip the headache of parking. Skip all the craziness of getting around, help improve the air, save a little bit of money taking the shuttle to the fairgrounds," said Stacie Dabbs, Merced County Association of Governments.

You can also help on June 16th for the 11th annual national Dump-the-Pump day.

People will be able to ride city buses countywide for free.
