All mandatory evacuations orders have been lifted for the Serpa Fire, but many roads in the area are restricted to residents only.
Fire officials said they were able to get a handle on the fire overnight. The fire is still 30 percent contained, but they were able to stop the spread of the fire -- keeping it to 80 acres.

PG&E has restored power to the area and Cal Fire crews were able to lift mandatory evacuations, allowing residents to return to their homes on Friday morning.

Serpa Fire has burned 80 acres and is 30-percent contained.

The fire sparked just after noon Thursday. With mutual aid, 300 Firefighters were battling the blaze on Friday morning. Fire officials are still trying to determine a point of origin and the cause is still under investigation. They do attribute wind, bark beetle and drought conditions to the quick spread.

"We understand concerns, but there's a lot of chaos fire equipment in the roads we need to have them open instead of mass chaos and Evacuations at the last minute," said Jerry Fernandez, Cal Fire.
