FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) --A group of Clovis and Fresno community members say they're Backing the Blue and drove to several departments Saturday in a show of support.
The caravan of cars stopped at the Clovis Police Department, Fresno Police Department and the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
All of the participants stopped to shake hands with officers and deputies and to let leaders know they appreciate their work.
"I think what you're seeing is the silent majority finally becoming vocal and it's been a very difficult time for law enforcement facing criticism any time it occurs across this nation," Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.
Dyer says his officers become better servants after outreach events from the community like the support drive.
